Dr Diana Chan Xin Hui
Dr Diana Chan is a specialist in Anaesthesiology and Pain Medicine with more than a decade of experience caring for patients with acute, chronic, and complex pain conditions. She trained at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and completed advanced fellowship training in pain medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Western Australia. Prior to private practice, she served as Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Pain Medicine at Singapore General Hospital, where she played a key role in shaping coordinated pain services across hospital and community care.
Her commitment to pain medicine is deeply personal. Dr Chan’s journey was shaped not only by her own long-standing shoulder injury, but also by caring for her father during his battle with cancer and witnessing firsthand how uncontrolled pain can affect dignity, comfort, and family life. These experiences gave her a deep understanding of the physical and emotional toll pain places on patients and their loved ones, and strengthened her resolve to support those living with cancer-related and complex pain. As a mother of two, she brings empathy, patience, and clarity to every consultation, believing that no one should face pain alone, and that compassionate, thoughtful care can help patients regain comfort, confidence, and a meaningful quality of life.
